New Jersey’s Best Places to Visit in Fall

Now that the season has officially changed and fall is here, there are a lot of fun activities to do, especially outside. Since the weather is not that cold but not too hot either, it is the perfect time to visit the rural parts of New Jersey that offer beautiful scenery. There are many different types of activities that are perfect for this season, whether spending time with family, walking in nature, or doing a festive activity.

A good place to visit in the fall is the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo. The admission ticket costs $19.00, and with it comes the fun experience of meeting different animals and learning more about them as well. There are animals such as penguins, lions, giraffes, and more. The zoo also offers a Halloween activity called “Howl-o-ween” which lets kids trick-or-treat at the zoo. This experience is perfect for families to spend time together.

If looking to experience fall to the fullest, a hiking trail is the best option. Bear Mountain is a great place to visit and enjoy the view of nature through most of the hike. There is also a picnic area, so at the end of the journey, people get to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and trees. This is a dog-friendly area and is perfect to bring pets and let them enjoy the outdoors.

Pumpkin picking and visiting farms are also common activities to do in the fall since some farms have fall festivals with fun activities for everyone. Happy Day Farm is a great place to go and enjoy over 35 different activities. The admission ticket costs $27 per person, and with it comes the opportunity to be part of pumping picking, navigating a corn maze, playing cornhole, pig races, and more.

Visiting new places and enjoying different activities is a great chance to spend time with family and friends, enjoy time outdoors, and try new things. Take advantage of the new season by getting involved in local activities such as the ones listed.
