When it comes to experiences and things to do from classes to extracurriculars to even sports and activities, the options seem unlimited. NVD has much to offer for every student and their specific likings. Here are some of the most memorable and popular choices everyone should make at least once in their high school years at NVD.

When it comes to classes there are only certain classes that you have to take each year at NVD, these main classes are math, English, and science. Overall these classes are good but NVD has the option where you can pick your classes for your next and upcoming year which some schools do not have to offer.

Classes such as culinary, engineering, and even woodworking are some of the best picks if you want to fill in a credit or are struggling to find a class. Even after taking these classes once, the year after you can move on to things like Advanced Culinary, and even Woodworking 2 Honors. NVD has a wide variety of classes to choose from but the three listed here are recommendations from people who have taken them thus far.

Extracurriculars are also a big thing at NVD. The school has loads of clubs to offer, some clubs are more educational than others and look good for college or clubs that are fun and things that the students at NVD take an interest in.

DECA is one of the clubs students mainly participate in for college. Things like language clubs and even the newspaper club are clubs geared towards student interests. Overall NVD has lots to offer and if you have some spare time to devote a club would be a nice fit into your schedule.

NVD also has a good amount of sports to offer. The best sports we succeed in are tennis, track, etc. Track may be the most popular sport at NVD.  Every sport is obviously not for everyone but if you want to do something to maybe stay in shape or try something new a sport is the thing to do. You do not have to be good at any of these sports to compete but if you want to expand your horizons then a sport would be a good way to make new friends or even find a passion you didn’t even know existed.

NVD does not have many activities but the main ones are all sports-related with the student sections. At the beginning of each school year, there are football games with different themes where students show up with the theme announced and support our team either home or away.

During the winter there is wrestling and basketball, both pretty popular and are always exciting to see especially with friends.

During the spring there is track and field and lacrosse, these two sports aren’t that popular with the student sections but if you want to support your fellow Norsemen and women there’s nothing wrong with showing up. Being a part of the student section is always nice and it is a good way to show school spirit, if you want the ideal high school experience students should come show support!

These are some of the things that NVD has to offer with everything from sports to extracurricular activities. By participating in some of these things listed it’s almost a guarantee you will make new memories and find things that you will enjoy.
