Teenagers today may be growing up in a world of streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and binge-watching, but that doesn’t mean they can’t appreciate the classics. In fact, many teenagers have a deep love for “throwback” shows from previous decades. Here are some of their favorites:

 

Friends

“Friends” may have premiered in 1994, but it continues to be a favorite among teenagers today. The show’s relatable characters, witty writing, and memorable moments have stood the test of time, and its themes of friendship, love, and growing up still resonate with viewers today. “Friends”can be streamed on HBO Max.

 

 

The Office

Another classic sitcom that teenagers love is “The Office.” This workplace comedy may have aired its final episode in 2013, but it’s quirky characters, cringe-worthy moments, and heartfelt times have made it a perennial favorite among teenagers. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

For teenagers who grew up in the ’90s, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” is a classic. This sitcom, which aired from 1990 to 1996, stars Will Smith as a street-smart teenager from Philadelphia who moves in with his wealthy aunt and uncle in their Bel-Air mansion.
